Tendon tables

The input window for one tendon consists of two tables: the upper one for the definition of the tendon actions and the lower one for the geometric definition of the tendons.

SettingDescription
Stress label Name of the stress label, describing a series of tendon actions for one or several tendons (used for the action STRESS in RM).
upper table Table for the definition of the tendon actions
Column Label Description
Action Type of the tendon action:
  • STRESS
  • WEDGESLIP
  • RELEASE
Value Corresponding value to the selected action.
  • STRESS – Fact from SIGmax (See RM Bridge help for more information.)
  • WEDGESLIP – Wedgeslip in m
  • RELEASE – Fact from SIGmax (See RM Bridge help for more information.)
L/R Selection of the side the action is applied on (left or right).

Tendons Individual tendon number. For the final tendon number the start offset will be added. The actual tendon number is displayed at the end of the line.
lower table Table for the geometric definition of the tendons.
Column Label Description
Point Tendon point name, which gives the current position of the tendon in the cross section of the corresponding element.
rlpos x/l "Related position" – position of the tendon in the element in longitudinal direction, defined as a proportion of the element length (x/l).
alpha1 Angular constraint in the x/y plane relative to the reference element orientation. No input will set it to free (i.e., deflection is calculated by the program).
alpha2 Angular constraint in the x/z plane relative to the reference element orientation. No input will set it to free (i.e., deflection is calculated by the program).
